Licenses for Evaluation—Temporary Licenses
Radware provides temporary licenses for new features that you wish to evaluate after you have
upgraded to the new version of Alteon and have installed at least one permanent license. The
temporary evaluation licenses last for 30 days, and are disabled after that period if you do not
upgrade them to be included in your permanent license. The license expiration timer is based on the
device uptime and not calendar days. To obtain temporary evaluation licenses, contact Radware
Technical Support.
You use the same command for installing permanent and evaluation licenses.
ADC-VX Licensing
The following table describes the different ADC-VC licenses:
Throughput Licenses
The throughput license on your Alteon Application Switch limits the throughput. If the current
throughput exceeds the limit defined by the license, packets are dropped.

You use a software license key to upgrade to a model with a higher throughput. The process requires
no system reboot.
The throughput license string that get from Radware Technical Support has the following syntax:
<throughput limitation>-<password>
where

Description
ADC-VX Throughput Licenses The following throughput licenses are available:
1,2,4,6,10,12,14,16,20 Gbps and 50, 200, 500, 750 Mbps.
ADC-VX vADC Licenses
The following vADC bundles are available for ADC-VX:
3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 28 vADCs
ADC-VX Enterprise Licenses
•
Bundles of 5, 10, 15, 20 and 28 enterprise services
•
Enterprise Licenses includes all features (GSLB, ADoS, LLB, ITM)
