GreenHouse Blowdown Parallel Evaporation System
Using Blowdown Head with an Existing GreenHouse Synthesiser
Existing GreenHouse users need only purchase the RR99657 System 11 -
GreenHouse Blowdown Basic Upgrade kit. This allows users to do blowdown
evaporation in a standard GreenHouse reaction block with reaction tubes.
Should users wish to use the GreenHouse Blowdown Evaporator for other vials or
micro titer plates, users need to purchase the RR99658 System 12 - GreenHouse
Blowdown Complete Upgrade kit.

Fitting the Blowdown Pin Plate to the Blowdown Head
Select the appropriate
Blowdown Pin Plate.
Fix the Blowdown Pin
Plate to the Blowdown
Head by locating it
over the two pins on
the underside of the
head and securing
it with the securing
screws (orange handles).
Warning
The GreenHouse Blowdown Head should only be operated
in a fume cupboard.

Take care not to over tighten these fixing screws as this can
damage the threads.

Allow the Reaction Block to cool to ambient temperature before
attempting to transfer or evaporate the solvent.

Place GreenHouse Reaction Block with reaction tubes containing solvent to be
evaporated into the GreenHouse base, taking note of the appropriate rack
position (A1-D6) for each sample.
Alternatively if a reaction has just been performed in the GreenHouse, simply
remove the Reflux or Additions Head and replace with the GreenHouse
Blowdown Head.
Ensure that the circular gasket is properly located in its groove, then carefully
place glass chamber on to silicone (or optional Viton) gasket.
