COM Port
Parameter
Description
Physical protocol:
RS232 or RS485. Consider the pin assignments on page 105.
Baud rate:
This property specifies the baud rate of the COM port
Parity:
This property specifies the parity used with every frame that is transmitted
or received.
Stop bits:
This property specifies the number of stop bits used to indicate the end of a
frame.
Data bits:
This property specifies the number of data bits contained in each frame.
XON/XOFF support
In XON/XOFF software flow control, either end can send a stop (XOFF) or
start (XON) character to the other end to control the rate of incoming data.
Hardware flow control
In RTS/CTS hardware flow control, the computer and the modem use the
RTS and CTS lines respectively to control the flow of data
