Set-up

Check both parts of the coupling for compatibility
(cat.: tractor/ rotary harrow).

Raise the tractor’s lower link to the same height and,

after attachment, check for slight lateral play (secure

against lateral play entirely when transporting by

road).

To reduce the friction on the lower link arm quick cou-

plers and to prevent demage it is recommended to

use bolls (5.1/1) with catching profiles (5,1/2). The link
arm pins must be greased to enable the balls to turn

Align the top link in operating position, so that it is in

only

slight contact

 and

as parallel as possible

 to the

lower links (

3/1

).

(This helps keep the implement as parallel as possi-

ble, which results in quieter running of the drive shaft
when raising to just above ground level.)

Align the rotary harrow horizontally with the top link

3/2

.

Secure the coupling assembly (three-point linkage)

correctly in position. (Secure the upper-arm pins also
to prevent slippage -

4/3

If you need to adjust the drive shaft or attach the rota-

ry harrow closer to the tractor (only if raising the seed

drill proves problematic), note that the mounting arms

are adjustable (

4/1

) – Retighten all bolts and screws

after adjusting (650 Nm).

Attach the rotary harrow as far back as possible. This

favours the operating angle of the drive shaft and

increases its service life.

Drive shaft

(For details of safety precautions and instructions on

the attachment/adjustment/maintenance of the drive

shaft or overload clutch, please refer to the corre-

sponding operating instructions and the appendix to
this manual).

Before attaching or removing the drive shaft, disen-

gage the power take-off shaft, switch off the engine
and remove the ignition key.

Use only the drive shaft supplied with the implement.
Attach the overload clutch on the implement side.

In order to ensure correct length alignment, keep the

two halves of the attached drive shaft in a horizontal

position (or at the shortest distance), making sure
they are raised and next to each other.

When fully inserted, the drive shaft must be no longer

than the shortest distance between the implement
and the tractor.

In lowered position (i.e. at greatest working depth),

the section tubes must be inserted into each other to
a depth of

at least 200 mm

(5/X).

If the drive shaft needs to be shortened, note that

both protective tubes and the section tubes must be

shortened by the same amount. Round off all rough

edges and remove any burrs. Grease the retractable
sections.

Attach all protective devices before running the drive

system. Secure the retaining chains of the protective

tubes.
