Safety precautions

DO NOT allow anyone to stand between the tractor

and the implement during coupling or uncoupling.

Note that this includes stepping between the tractor

and implement to operate the external hydraulic con-
trols (risk of injury).

Set the tractor’s hydraulic lifting system to ”position
control” before coupling and uncoupling.

The operator is responsible for ”safety”. Before oper-

ating the tractor and the implement, ensure that they
are both in safe operating condition.

Ensure that the tractor can be steered safely by at-

taching an adequate counterweight to the front of the
tractor if necessary.

Note that there is a danger of crushing and cutting

injuries occurring in the area of the three-point linkage
and ”Drill-Lift” linkage.

Before moving or operating the implement, always

check to ensure that no one is standing within its turn-
ing circle or operating area.

DO NOT stand or ride on the implement or remain
within its turning circle or operating area.

Beware of flying stones when operating the imple-

ment on stony ground. Keep your distance! Keep the

rear panel of the tractor cab CLOSED!

Before leaving the tractor unattended, disengage the

power take-off shaft, lower the implement, switch off
the engine and remove the ignition key.

Always lower the implement before carrying out any
adjustments or maintenance work.

Handle transmission components with care, as they
become hot during operation.

All safety guards must be attached BEFORE starting
operation.

Before engaging the power take-off shaft ensure that:

... no one is standing within the operating area of the

implement

... the speed selected for the power take-off shaft is

within the permitted maximum turning speed of the

implement

... the drive shaft operates with the specified tube

overlap (and is not too long when raised horizontally

or in the shortest distance)

Take the centre of gravity into account when operat-

ing on steep slopes (along the contour line), especial-

ly when raising the implement with a seed drill also

attached. (Drill-Lift).

Disable the tractor’s hydraulic control system to pre-

vent accidental operation while the implement is be-

ing towed.

Before operating for the first time – or after long

downtimes – check the levels of oil and lubricating

grease in the transmission (see ”Maintenance”), and

ensure that all bearings are adequately lubricated and

firmly seated. Check all screws and bolts for tight-

ness.
