Functioning
•
Cut the foods into thin pieces of even size and thickness.
•
Evenly spread the foods to be dried on each tray (3).
In order to ensure adequate air circulation, the foods should not
touch each other.
•
Close the door (2).
•
Press the ON/OFF button (6) for 3 seconds; the appliance will turn on.
•
Press the TEMP button (10); the display (5) will start blinking.
•
Set the desired temperature by pressing the “+” and “-” buttons.
The temperature settable is between 35°C and 78°C.
•
To quickly change the temperature, hold down the “+” or “-” button.
•
The set temperature can be changed at any time.
•
Press the TIME button (9) to set the drying cycle time (from 30 minutes to MAX 24 hours
with 30 minutes steps); the display will start blinking.
•
Set the desired time by pressing the “+” and “-” buttons.
To quickly change the time, hold down the “+” or “-” button.
•
The time shown on the display (5) will start counting down.
•
The appliance will automatically turn off when the set time has run out. If drying is
complete, remove the foods from the trays; if they need further drying, reset the desired
time as described above.
•
The cycle time can be changed at any time by pressing the “+” or “-” buttons.
•
To interrupt the drying cycle, press the ON/OFF (6) button.
The trays and the inside of the appliance heat up during
operation; use a pot holder or oven glove.
FOODS THAT CAN BE DRIED
FRUIT:
Apples, pears, bananas, persimmons, figs, plums, peaches, kiwis, grapes, pineapples, oranges, etc.
VEGETABLES:
Tomatoes, aubergines, sweet peppers, hot peppers, courgettes, beans, celery, spinach, carrots,
onions, pumpkins, etc.
MUSHROOMS:
Boletus, honey, chanterelle, etc.
MEAT AND FISH:
Horse, beef, pork, whitefish (also called lavaret), lake shad, “missoltini” [a traditional Lake Como
dish made of dried shad fish], etc.
