Handlebars
The handlebar stems on all Performance models are
adjustable in height. Turn the two indicated bolts a few
notches to the left. You can now turn the handlebar stem
to 90 degrees. Once you have adjusted the handlebars as
desired, tighten both bolts with the indicated torque of
14-15 Nm.
The handlebars can also be canted. See the general
description on page 32.
Saddle position adjustment
By the saddle connection you can tilt the seat and adjust it
to front as well as to the back.
As a rule of thumb for determining the distance between
the handlebar and the saddle is that you should be able
to touch the handlebars with your fist while you hold your
elbow at the point of the saddle. Note that this rule of
thumb should be seen as a guideline, because this setting
is very personal. Note also that a too big distance between
the saddle and the handlebars, often can be the cause
of neck, back, and shoulder complaints. We recommend
that you adjust the saddle and handlebars to your wishes
together with your dealer.
