Model QS-500 Tubestand 

Horizontal SID Switch Assembly Installation 

The Horizontal SID Switch Assembly mounts inside the Base Assembly (on the 
cathode side) as shown in Figure 15.  Proceed as follows: 

1. Loosely mount the Horizontal SID Switch Assembly to the Base Assembly 

using two (2) 10-32 x 1/2" socket head cap screws and flat washers. 

2. Using a switch actuator placed on the Floor Track as a reference (do not 

peel off adhesive backing at this time), adjust the height of the switch so 
that when it contacts the actuator, the switch activates (clicks). 

3. When switch height is correct, tighten the two (2) 10-32 x 1/2” socket head 

cap screws.
