Error
A message that occurs when there is a loss of ability to interpret
recorded data; usually because of magnetic issues or defects in or on the
media.
ESD
An Electrostatic Discharge is a sudden flow of electric current
through a material that is normally an insulator.
EU
European Union.

Fahrenheit is a temperature scale where a degree Fahrenheit (°F) is 5/
9ths of a kelvin (or of a degree Celsius).
FCC
Federal Communications Commission (United States).
Fibre Channel
A high-speed serial architecture that allows either optical
or electrical connections at data rates from 265 MB to 2 Gb per second.
Fibre Channel is sometimes abbreviated FC.
Firmware
Permanent or semi-permanent instructions and data
programmed directly into the circuitry of a programmable read-only
memory or electronically erasable programmable read-only memory
chips. Used for controlling the operation of the computer or tape drive.
Distinct from software, which is stored in random access memory and
can be altered with ease.
FPM
The Front Panel Module (also known as the bezel) is a plastic panel
that extends the face of a tape drive so that it covers a computer’s tape
drive bay opening.

Firmware Update.
