If any READ command cannot be completed successfully, the tape drive returns a CHECK
CONDITION status. Further commands should attempt to move past the error and complete
successfully.
4.13 READ BLOCK LIMITS (05h)
The READ BLOCK LIMITS command tells the tape drive to return its limits for block length. The
tape drive sends this information during the DATA IN phase of the command. The command does not
reflect the currently selected block size, only the available limits; MODE SENSE returns the current
block size.
