This guide provides instructions on how to configure and install the DLT-V4 tape
drive in the following configurations:
•
Internal Tape Drive
— SCSI, SATA, and USB versions
•
Tabletop Tape Drive
— SCSI and USB/eSATA versions
Internal Tape Drive

Inspect the shipping box and contents of the box for damage. If you find any
damage, report it to the shipping company.

Select a server or workstation to host the tape drive.

Shut down and power off the host and all peripheral devices attached to the
selected host.
5 SCSI Tape Drives Only —
If necessary, change the SCSI ID using the SCSI
jumpers (see
figure 1
