Toggling the laser on / off 

In the CONTROL tab, you can toggle the laser in a specific channel of the IQTX ON or OFF by clicking the 

STATE button. 

 

 

 

Setting the dither size 

The DITHER SIZE value (percentage of VPI) for each modulator bias can be set in the ADVANCED tab by 
clicking the parameter field, or by using the + and 

–

 control buttons to increase or decrease the value by 

a set amount. The step size is set to 2%.  

Alternatively, the DITHER SIZE can also be set to the MIN and MAX value by clicking the dropdown in the 
name of the parameter.  

Increasing the dither size will lead to a more accurate bias optimization, but a larger dither will show up 
as an occasional perturbation to the bias voltage.
