Setting Up pdQmail

Click one of these ways to handle the backup:

Backup and auto-restore— Automatically back up messages from the
pdQ smartphone to the computer each time you perform a HotSync
operation. These messages can then be restored to the pdQ smartphone
after a power loss or a hard reset. Select this configuration for normal
backup operation.
■
Desktop overwrites Smartphone (force restore) —Transfer messages
from your computer to the pdQ smartphone. Overwrite the existing
messages on the pdQ smartphone.
■
Smartphone overwrites Desktop (force backup) —Transfer messages
from the pdQ smartphone to your computer. Overwrite the existing
backup files on the computer.

If you want to keep these settings in place, click Make default.

Click OK.
If you selected Sync with

From the Sync with list, select the appropriate e-mail program. The
pdQmail application can synchronize with MAPI-compliant programs
such as those listed.

In the Action area, click one of the following:

Synchronize messages— Synchronize all of your messages on both the
pdQ smartphone and your computer.
■
Desktop overwrites Smartphone— Transfer messages from your
computer and delete the existing messages on your pdQ smartphone.
Use this setting if you no longer need any of the messages on the pdQ
smartphone.
