Gas Information
A. Fuel Conversions
Before making gas connections ensure that the appliance
being installed is compatible with the available gas type.
Any natural or propane gas conversions necessary to meet
the appliance and locality needs must be made by a quali-
fi ed technician using Hearth & Home Technologies specifi ed
and approved parts.
1. Converting to LP Gas

Remove right and left twigs and right and left rear
logs from the burner pan, if installed. Remove the 2 nuts
that secure the burner pan to the burner support with the
ratchet and socket.

Lift burner up and out of the fi rebox opening.

Remove the three screws on the front of the burner
support. Set screws aside.

Slide the burner support to the left to access the
orifi ce.
KIT CONTENTS:
Replacement orifi ce; replacement pilot
injector; and valve regulator.
TOOLS REQUIRED:
Ratchet with 7/16 in. socket and 2 in.
- 4 in. extension: power drill (a 90° handle is helpful); #2
Phillips bit; 5/32 in. allen wrench; 5/8 in. open end wrench.

NOTE: Gas conversions should only be performed
by a qualified service person, and/or where required
by state and local codes, licensed installer/service
technician. In the Commonwealth of Massachusetts,
installation must be performed by a licensed plumber
or gas fitter.
