rail
so
that
it
goes
over
the
Sostenuto
sha .

small
return
spring
to
the
thread
‐
rod
so
it
pulls
up
on
the
actuator.
You’ll
have
to
fi
nd
a
conven
‐
ient
place
above
the
actuator
to
a ach
the
other
end
of
the
spring.
Adjust
the
Sostenuto
by
loosening
the
locking
screw
on
the
swing
arm
to
allow
the
main
sha
to
spin
freely
without
ac va ng
the
Sostenuto.
Swing
the
main
sha
so
that
the
brass
insert
on
top
of
the
push
block
is
centered
on
the
spring
with
the
pedal
in
the
rest
posi on.
Rotate
the
swing
arm
so
that
the
piano’s
Sostenu
‐
to
tab
li er
bar
is
about
1/16”
away
from
damper
Sostenuto
tabs.
Tighten
the
swing
arm
locking
screw.
Push
the
Sostenuto
pedal
on
the
lyre
and
inspect
the
opera on
of
the
mechanism.
When
the
pedal
is
depressed
the
tab
li er
bar
should
be
nearly
parallel
with
the
key
bed.
