Determine

 

placement

 

of

 

the

 

push

 

lever

 

by

 

fi

rst

 

installing

 

the

 

pedal

 

lyre

 

on

 

the

 

piano.

 

Place

 

the

 

push

 

lever

 

so

 

that

 

the

 

end

 

of

 

the

 

lyre’s

 

Sostenuto

 

rod

 

is

 

on

 

the

 

outer

 

edge

 

of

 

the

 

push

 

block

  

when

 

the

 

pedal

 

is

 

not

 

depressed.

 

Make

 

sure

 

that

 

there

 

is

 

clearance

 

as

 

the

 

push

 

block

 

travels

 

through

 

its

 

arc

 

as

 

the

 

pedal

 

is

 

depressed.

 

The

 

push

 

block

 

posi

‐

on

 

is

 

adjustable

 

by

 

loosening

 

the

 

set

‐

screw.

 

There

 

are

 

several

 

indents

 

in

 

the

 

sha

 

for

 

posi oning.

 

Also

 

note

 

the

been

 

placed

 

as

 

close

 

to
