Reason 1: You may have other applications open that uses up your system’ s
resources.
Step 1: Verify that all other programs are closed before writing to your Que!
Combo FireWire CD-RW/DVD-ROM Drive.
Step 2: To look for open applications that are open, hold down the “ALT”
button on your keyboard and simultaneously press the “TAB” button.
This will allow you to view any other applications that may open.
Reason 2: Your screen saver may be coming on when you are trying to write
a disc.
Step 1: Turn off your screen saver. Go to the Windows “Start” button,
“Control Panel”, and double click on the Display icon.
Step 2: This will make the “Display Properties” window pop up. Then click
on the second tab, which is titled “Screen Saver”
Step 3: Choose “none” and then hit the “OK” button.
Reason 3: Your source and/or blank disc may be damaged (scratched
or soiled).
Step 1: Remove the source and/or blank disc and visually inspect it for
scratches or debris.
Step 2: Please follow the handling guidelines mentioned in this manual.
Problem 4: I can’t watch DVD movies.
Reason 1: You need to install the included Power DVD MPEG2 decoding
software.
Step 1: To watch DVD movies using your Que! Combo FireWire CDRW/
DVD-ROM Drive, you need to install included MPEG2 decoding software .
