I N STA L L AT I O N

C H A PTER THREE 

Installation

The following installation instructions are applicable to computers equipped with
built-in IEEE1394/FireWire ports only. If your computer does not have built-in
IEEE 1394/FireWire ports and you have purchased the optional Que! IEEE 1394/
FireWire Controller Card, or CardBus please refer to the section entitled “Optional
FireWire PCI Card Installation” or optional FireWire CardBus.

Step 1:

Turn off the power on your PC and all other peripherals that are
attached.

Step 2:

Connect one end of the FireWire/IEEE 1394 cable to the 
FireWire/IEEE 1394 port on the back of your PC.
