Tools 

To  help  you  for  regular 

maintenance,  a  set  of  tools  is 
provided  in  the  tool  box  on  the 
rear left side of the vehicle.   
 
Battery 

Battery  is  normally  stored 

inside  the  guard  board  on  the 
right  side  of  the  frame.  The 
battery  for  the  model  may  be  of 
conventional 

type 

or 

maintenance-free type.

Before using, fill electrolyte to 

a  level  between  the  upper  and 
lower  limits.  During  using,  the 
fluid  level  must  be  kept  between 
the upper limit and lower limit.   
Warning

 

Once the battery has been in 

use,  no  diluted  sulfuric  acid  shall 
be  added.  If  the  fluid  level  drops 
below  the  lower  limit,  fill  distilled 

water to the upper limit. Never use 
tap water.   
Precaution

 

Never  damage,  clog  or  alter 

the  vent  pipe  for  battery.  Please 
make  sure  that  the  vent  hose  is 
connected  to  the  vent  fitting  of 
battery,  with  the  other  end  kept 
always  open.  The  vent  pipe  and 
battery shall be installed correctly.   

The polarity of battery wiring 

shall  be  always  correct.  Connect 
the red wire to positive (+) and the 
green  wire  to  negative  (-).  Wrong 
connection 

may 

damage 

the 

charging system and battery.   
Note

 

After  the  first  1000  km  and 

every  3000  km,  have  the  specific 
gravity  of  each  battery  cell 
checked  by  your  distributor,  by 
using an electrolyte hydrometer.

Safety 

 

Electrolyte  contains  strong 
acid  and  shall  be  prevented 
from  contacting  the  skin. 
During operation, wear safety 
helmet and safety clothing.   

 

In case that electrolyte gets in 
eyes,  immediately  wash  the 
eyes  with  plenty  of  clear 
water  for  at  least  15  minutes, 
before going to hospital.

of  water  or  milk,  and  then
