Commissioning
WARNING
Danger of electric shock!
Prior to commissioning, please make sure that the operating voltage set on the
device is the same as the mains voltage (see section Setting the operating
voltage).
ATTENTION
Do not cover the ventilation slits!
Ensure that the ventilation slits are clear. Insufficient ventilation may cause the
device to overheat.
Make sure that there are no objects underneath the device (e.g., paper)
that may be sucked against the ventilation slot and thus interfere with
ventilation.
Place the device at a minimum distance of 10 cm between the rear and
sides of the device and the wall or other objects.
Place the QIAamplifier 96 on a solid dry surface.
If the QIAamplifier 96 has been moved, allow the device to adjust to room
temperature before switching it on for the first time (1 to 6 hours).
Connect the QIAamplifier 96 to a grounded mains outlet using the mains
cable supplied. Do not to replace the main cable with a cable with inferior
specifications. Make sure that the mains switch and the mains cable are
easily accessible. This is important if the device needs to be disconnected
from the mains voltage.
The display contrast can be adjusted according to the respective lighting
conditions (see section Display brightness)
