Using the bar code reader
The bar code reader is preset to read the following types of bar codes.
2/5 interleaved
EAN Family
Code 39
Code 128
To read a bar code, press the button located on the inner side of the handle of the bar code reader.
A red light appears. Hold the bar code reader in front of the bar code at a distance of
approximately 20 mm. A beep will sound to confirm that the bar code has been read. The bar
code will be displayed on the screen.
Length of barcode label: 15–65 mm
Minimum tube diameter: 9 mm
Maximum resolution of bar code: 0.1 mm

Using the external printer
Printers sold in the open market can be connected to the instrument.
The EZ1 Advanced XL allows you to confirm that a report was printed correctly before the report
file is deleted. The following screen appears.
