Manual operation “return tip”
Use the “return tip” operation to return any tips that are attached to the tip adapter. The tips will be
returned to the tip rack.
Press

in the manual operation screen to choose the “return tip” operation. The following screen
appears.

to start the “return tip” operation or
ESC
to return to the previous screen.

Manual operation “clean”
Use the “clean” operation to get access to the piercing unit for cleaning.
The EZ1 Advanced XL door must initially be closed. Press

in the manual operation screen to
choose the “clean” operation. The following screen appears.

START: Run
ESC: Back

to start the “clean” operation or
ESC
to return to the previous screen.
The EZ1 Advanced XL lowers the piercing unit. The following screen appears.

Open door and clean
piercing unit
ENT: Done
Open the EZ1 Advanced XL door, and clean the piercing unit as described in Section 6.1, page 78.
After cleaning the piercing unit, close the EZ1 Advanced XL door and press
ENT
to finish the
procedure.
