Installing multiple EZ1 Advanced XL instruments
Up to 4 EZ1 Advanced XL instruments can be connected to a single PC. It is also possible to connect
a combination of EZ1 Advanced XL and EZ1 Advanced instruments. The maximum number of
instruments that can be connected to a single PC is 4.
For this application, only the QIAGEN PC can be used. This PC is equipped with a 1 x 4 Port Serial
board. To set up your PC, follow the directions given below.
1.
Connect the large connector of the fourfold multiple cable to the rear side of the PC.
2.
Connect the RS-232 serial cables with the small connectors of the 4-fold multiple cable. Use
the screws to secure the connection.
To connect 2 instruments, use connectors P1 and P2.
To connect 3 instruments, use connectors P1, P2, and P3.
To connect 4 instruments, use connectors P1, P2, P3, and P4.
