15 Test Panel (Maintenance)
15.1
Introduction
The test panel is accessed through USB Maintenance Port can also serve as a
troubleshooting aid for the Remote Subsystem hardware and/or firmware. The
availability of the test panel will depend on your version of firmware and application.
The test panel is designed to be used by qualified service personnel having a
background in digital telemetry and SCADA systems, and must be familiar with the
previous 6CPP6, and its intended use as a part of the overall system installation.
The 6QBI Test Panel Interface is available on the USB port using terminal software
(Putty, TeraTerm, HyperTerm, etc.) This may require the installation of the 6QBI
USB driver (QEI Pt. No 80-020000-001), depending on windows version.
The 6QBI appears as a serial Com: port under Windows. Open PC communications
program and select the proper 6QBI serial port
– it will appear under “connected
device” window. Configure the port as 8 bit, 1 stop, no parity, no-flow, 6QBI will
connect at any speed.
Once connected, press <enter> key a few times to get main prompt tp[n]> where
‘n’
is the command index number. The 6QBI TP interface can save eight (8) previously
entered commands. Once a command is entered it is stored in a rotating buffer of
eight.
Use the ‘[‘ key to scroll previous and ‘]’ to scroll next. The stored command will
appear at the command line prompt. It can be edited or reuse command, press
<enter> to execute.
Commands can be entered in either upper or lower case. Note that command
operators are separated by any non-valid character.
Thus RA 1,3 is the same as RA 1 3
