Note that QEI can supply additional mounting panels to facilitate mounting of the 
MicroPAQ-940P or ePAQ-9410/942x RTUs as necessary, along with the 6QBI.

QUICS Board Interface

The 6QBI QUICS Board Interface is part of the QEI family of Distribution Automation 
Products. It serves as a communications interface between the ePAQ-9410/942x or 
MicroPAQ-940P and the QUICS III (6PIB1 Required) or QUICS IV I/O Cards.     

  

The 6QBI mounts in less than half the space of an existing 6CPP6 panel in any existing 
RTU cabinet.    

  

The 6QBI includes two isolated RS-422 ports for communication with a MicroPAQ-940P 
or ePAQ-9410/942x. The two ports allow for redundant communications with multiple 
RTUs 

  

A Serial Fiber port is available, for communication with ePAQ9410/942x RTUs.. All 
communications ports have LEDs to indicate communications status (TX/RX). 

  

The 6QBI supports 128 Analog, 320 status and 128 control QUICS III points or 128 
Analog, 256 Status, and 128 Control QUICS IV Points.
