10   Earth Grounding  

10.1       Earth Grounding Method 

WARNING: 

The 6QBI should be connected to earth ground through quick-connect 

tab J20, or by connecting the top left swage-on PCB mounting hole to a suitable 
chassis ground. Failure to do so will render the transient protection circuits on the 
6QBI RS-422 ports inoperative, and may result in damage to the board. The J20 
grounding tab is also located near the top left swage-on mounting hole. 

 

11  Mechanical  

Dimensions are 11.675” L x 4.25” W x 1.5”D. Mounting holes are for 6-32 screws at the four corners of the 
board. Top left mounting hole is also chassis earth ground, or use Tab J20 for earth ground.
