3.1.1.
Safety Cautions
The following steps will help you to learn to ride your Q-BOT. It is important that you practice riding in a controlled,
familiar environment until you are comfortable using your Q-BOT and SmartKey. Before riding, make sure your Q-BOT is
properly assembled and fully charged. Inspect your Q-BOT before each use. Do not ride if any part is loose or damaged. Do not
wear loose clothing or jewelry that could get caught in the Q-BOT.
3.1.2.
Prepare for Riding
To prepare for your first ride:
Select an appropriate area for your first ride.
The area may be indoors or outdoors and should
measure at least 4 meters by 4 meters (12 feet by 12
feet). It must have a level, smooth riding surface
with good traction, and the area should be free of
obstructions and far from vehicles, bicycles, pets,
small children, and other distractions.
Do not select a slippery area for your first ride.
Get a helper who is familiar with the Q-BOT and who has studied all the instructions and warnings in this manual.
Wear a helmet.
Move the Q-BOT to the center of the riding area.
