The following methods can implement dry running protection by default:
1. The dry running protection switch is on (P0.25 = X);
2. The system pressure is lower than the permitted water shortage detection limit (feedback pressure < P0.26);
3. The current operating frequency is not lower than the frequency of the dry running protection detection
(operating frequency >= P0.27);
4. When conditions (1) - (3) are met, timing starts. When the conditions are met and the timing time exceeds the
delay time of the abnormal pressure alarm (delay time > P0.29), a water shortage fault will be generated. If
any of the conditions are not met during timing, timing will restart from the beginning.
When a water shortage fault is generated, then after the time set in P0.30, the device will be reset depending on the
following parameters

Note
: When evaluating a water shortage by pressure, since the operating condition of each device varies, for example
by load range, then only setting P0.28 judiciously according to the site conditions can ensure a correct evaluation of the
water shortage.
Setting method
: Turn on the device. When the operating frequency reaches the maximum frequency value, turn off
the supply and record the displayed output current. Divide this current by P1.16 (motor rated current) to obtain a
percentage value. Set the P0.28 value slightly higher than 5-10 percentage points of the percentage value. Too high a
value of P0.28 will result in false generation of a water shortage alarm during normal operation. Conversely, with too
low a P0.28 value, the dry running protection will not be effective.
