Barcode height
This command selects a barcode type:
This command defines the height of the actual selected barcode:
ESC * z P1 V
default = 0
ESC * z P1 H
P1 = height in PCL units
P1 = 0
Code 39
For every barcode type an individual value is stored. The default height value
P1 = 1
2 of 5 industrial
for barcode is 0.5 inch (P1 = 150) except EAN, UPC and Postnet.
P1 = 2
reserved
The default height for EAN and UPC is defined with the scaling factor SC 2, 6
P1 = 3
reserved
or 9. The height of Postnet is fixed.
P1 = 4
2 of 5 interleaved
Barcode height values are selectable in the range from 0.1 inch (P1 = 30) to
P1 = 102
EAN 8 SC2
10 inch (P1 = 3000).
P1 = 106
EAN 8 SC6
P1 = 109
EAN 8 SC9
Note:
One PCL unit is the PCL scaling unit. Default is 300 units per inch.
P1 = 122
EAN 13 SC2
P1 = 126
EAN 13 SC6

Barcode data
P1 = 129
EAN 13 SC9
This command specifies the barcode data field. Two command formats are
P1 = 142
UPC-A SC2
supported. The first format is conforming to earlier PCL3 commands and
P1 = 146
UPC-A SC6
does not report the number of data bytes in front of the data field:
P1 = 149
UPC-A SC9
P1 = 162
UPC-E SC2
ESC * z <
data
> Z
data
= barcode data field
P1 = 166
UPC-E SC6
P1 = 169
UPC-E SC9
The barcode data are enclosed in the two brackets. If the right bracket itself
P1 = 180
Codabar
is part of the data field it has to be sent twice.
P1 = 181
MSI
P1 = 188
Code 93
The second format is according to typical PCL5 commands. The number of
P1 = 200
Postnet
bytes in the data field is indicated before sending the data:
P1 = 210
Code 128
P1 = 220

ESC * z P1 Z

EAN and UPC code selection supports ADD2 and ADD5

The number of barcode data bytes must correspond to the selected
