Track Assembly
Track Assembly is not bend,
broken, kinked, or dented.
Track must be straight, true, level,
and undamaged.
Replace or repair track to original
dimensions and configurations.
Track Assembly is not rusting or
corroded.
Minor surface rust/corrosion. No
Scaling or pitting of material.
Clean and touch up minor surface
rust. If rust scale or pitting is
present, replace track.

Track Assembly Splice
Connection (Face
Mount Track)
Track Assembly splice fasteners
are snug tight.
Fasteners must be present and be
snug tight; connections pulled into
firm contact by the bolt, no gaps
between material.
Tighten fasteners to snug tight.
Replace any missing fasteners.
Track Assembly splice alignment.
Track sections are aligned.
Align track components and
tighten fasteners at splice
location.

Shroud Assembly
Ensure Shroud Assembly is not
bent, broken, kinked, or dented.
Shroud Assembly must be straight,
true, level, and undamaged.
Replace or repair shroud
to original dimensions and
configurations.
All fasteners connections are
snug tight.
Fasteners must be present and be
snug tight; connections pulled into
firm contact by the bolt, no gaps
between material.
Tighten fasteners to snug tight.
Replace any missing fasteners.

Shroud Block
Ensure Shroud Block is in place
and undamaged.
Present, unbroken and unworn.
Replace shroud block.
Shroud Block fasteners
Fasteners must be present and be
snug tight; connections pulled into
firm contact by the bolt, no gaps
between material.
Tighten fasteners to snug tight.
Replace any missing fasteners.

Guide Block
Ensure Guide Block is in place
and undamaged.
In place, undamaged and unworn.
Replace guide block.
Guide Block fasteners
Fasteners must be present and be
snug tight; connections pulled into
firm contact by the bolt, no gaps
between material.
Tighten fasteners to snug tight.
Replace any missing fasteners.

XIV. Inspection and Maintenance
A. Environmental conditional may affect the maintenance and repair requirements of the product, and
recommended preventative maintenance frequency.
B. If any of the inspection items are found to not meet the standard IMMEDIATELY “TAG OUT” the SafeMezz
Horizontal Gate removing it from active use and guard the opening until repairs are completed.
NOTICE
PS Safety Access recommends that the owner implement a regular and preventative maintenance program
to inspect and maintain SafeMezz Horizontal Gate at a minimum, in accordance with the recommendations
in the table below.
WARNING
While performing maintenance and inspection ensure personnel utilize appropriate fall protection
equipment and procedures. Manufacturer recommends utilizing a man-lift to perform maintenance and
inspection tasks.
