Causes:
n
The vacuum sensor has a fault.
n
The vent valve does not open.
8.2.2 Power supply
The amperage measured during production is lower than the speci‐
fied minimum amperage for the delay time.
System response: - see “A. System response at too low a value”
Chapter 8.2.9 ‘Response of the system’ on page 57
Causes:
n
Too little brine in the anode.
n
The caustic concentration is too low. Check the conductivity
(mS).
n
A red LED lights up on the power supply.
n
The analogue control of the power supply is not working prop‐
erly.
n
The analogue current value fed back is incorrect.
The amperage measured during production is higher than the
specified maximum amperage for the delay time.
System response: - see “B. System response at too high a value”
Chapter 8.2.9 ‘Response of the system’ on page 57
Causes:
n
The power supply is faulty.
n
The analogue control of the power supply is not working prop‐
erly.
n
The analogue readout of the actual amperage is not working.
8.2.3 Caustic tank
The level in the caustic tank has reached the lower float.
System response: Production is switched off.
Causes:
n
The caustic tank has a leak.
n
Lines on the caustic tank are not leak-tight.
n
A membrane in the membrane cell has a leak.
n
More lye is consumed than is produced; monitor the flow of lye
during an anode refresh (injection valve).
If the level in the caustic tank reaches the upper float, the system
immediately starts to drain the caustic tank. If the level is still at the
top float after 15 minutes, an error message appears and produc‐
tion is switched off.
Causes:
n
The lye drain valve is faulty.
n
The water valve for the water venturi is faulty.
n
The injection valve is closed.
n
Cooling water is entering the caustic tank.
Electric current too low
Electrical current too high
Level in the caustic tank too low
Level in the caustic tank remains high
