3.17 Remote control EC800 (optional)
The remote control EC800 (fig. 2) available as an accessory allows to control different functions:
1.  Connect the remote control to the jack REMOTE CONTROL ONLY (10).
2.  No DMX signal must be present at the DMX IN. The yellow led MASTER (5) must light up.
3.  Via the DMX OUT, it is possible to connect further units in order to control them via the remote control

together with the master unit.

4.  With the button STAND BY, the sleep mode can be switched on and off. With the sleep mode switched

on, the led next to the button will light up. The pan head will go to its starting position and the shutter
will be closed.

5.  With the button MODE (18), select the operating mode:
a) Stroboscope mode SOUND 1 (led next to the button MODE does not light up).
Each time the button FUNCTION is kept pressed, the unit changes to the next of the three stroboscopic effects:
- stroboscope independent of the music, in sync with the slave units;
- stroboscope independent of the music, alternating with the slave units;
- stroboscope depending on the music.
After releasing the button FUNCTION, the show programme will be reactivated.
b) Show mode (led flashing).
Select the desired show programme (Show 1 to 4) with the button FUNCTION (19).
c) Manual selection of colour and light pattern (led lights continuously).
Select the colour of the light pattern by shortly pressing the button FUNCTION and select the light pattern
by pressing the button for a longer time. If the light beam should not move, position the beam to a certain
spot in the next mode.
d) Manual positioning of light beam (led flashing rapidly).
Keep the button FUNCTION pressed, the pan head will turn. If the light is radiated in the desired direction,
release the button. By keeping the button pressed again, position the light beam vertically. To be able to carry
out these two functions again, first press the button FUNCTION shortly twice (without any further function).

4.1 Cleaning the unit and maintenance

•  Make sure the area below the installation place is free from unwanted persons during set-up.
•  Switch off the unit, unplug the main cable and wait until the unit has cooled down.
•  All screws used for installing the device and any of its parts should be tightly fastened and should not be corroded.
•  Housings, fixations and installation spots (ceiling, trusses, suspensions) should be totally free from any deformation.
•  When the lens is visibly damaged due to cracks or deep scratches, it must be replaced.
•  The main cables must be in impeccable condition and should be replaced immediately even when a

small problem is detected.

•  In order to protect the device from overheating the cooling fans (if any), and ventilation openings should

be cleaned monthly.

•  The interior of the device should be cleaned annually using a vacuum cleaner or air-jet.
•  It is recommended to clean the plastic panel of the unit at regular intervals, from impurities caused by

dust, smoke, or other particles to ensure that the light is radiated at maximum brightness. For cleaning,
disconnect the main plug from the socket. Use a soft, clean cloth moistened with a mild detergent. Then
carefully wipe the plastic pane dry. For cleaning other housing parts use only a soft, clean cloth. Never
use a liquid, it might penetrate the unit and cause damage to it.

Warning: we strongly recommend internal cleaning to be carried out by qualified personnel!
