A
may not be accessible, there-
fore, remove the rear wheel, screw off the bolt
B
and swing the side guard frontward until getting
access to the bolt/washer/nut
A
.
Remove the bolt/washer/nut
A.
Raise or lower the backrest tubes to the desired height.
Insert and tighten the bolt/washer/nut
A.
Put the side guard back to its position and then tighten the bolt
B
into the fixing ring. See also chap-
ter “side guard”.
If the backrest tube does not slide over a certain height, DO NOT force it, you may irre-
deemably damage the frame..
The point beyond which the backrest tube cannot pass lays just above the frame triangular
junction, approximately 18 cm from the top of the vertical tube.
If the minimum height you
can reach is not enough, it is necessary to cut the lower side of the tube.
If the backrest tube, while lowering it, reaches the point beyond which it cannnot pass, you
need to cut off the lower side of the tube itself.
If the maximum height you can reach is not enough, it is neces-
sary to change the tube.
If the tube has been cut, the lowest hole will be only a millimetres
front the end of the tube; therefore, to fix the backrest tube, you
should not use that hole, but at lest the one just above it.
To reduce possible play and possible noise, it is advisa-
ble put some sticky tape around the backrest tube at its
bottom and at just above the fixing hole
.
