7.3 Apparatus line

7.3.1

Connecting the apparatus lines

KDC1905 is compatible with decoders (older  “jumper” and new). The principles of creating uniphone networks are
the  same  as  in  case  of  CD1803  control  panel.  To  connect  the  decoder,  use  two  cables  connected  to  LA+  and  LA -
terminals of KDC1905 cassette. Decoders should be connected in parallel .

7.3.2

Message E-2

A message

is displayed in case of excessive current consumption from the apparatus line.

When it is detected, the device line is switched off in order to restore all devices to their initial state. If the current
consumption does not decrease, the device line will be switched off aga in.

In  this  case,  each  connection  attempt  will  result  in  a  message

–  the  connection  will  not  be

realized.

7.3.3

Address type

KDC1905 keyboards enable to use two addressing modes:

impulse – compatible with old devices PC255 and PC999, the supported number range  is closed in a range of

1-255

bits – by default, enabled addressing of a new type, compatible only with PC512 devices, enables addressing

devices up to the number 16 383. This enables to support large housing  estates  without the need to recalculate
numbers in PBX

Address  type  changes  in  parameter  99,  setting  +1  flag  activates  bit  addressing.  After  resetting  the  parameter,

the PBX switches to the old type addressing (impulse, compatible with PC255 ).

Note!

For keyboards  with software 8r51 and higher (above  serial number 13492), the default addressing  mode

is bit addressing. In  case of new keyboard installation and any addressing problems (e.g.  you can only call number
1), start by switching the addressing mode to the old one (reset  parameter 99).
