System concept
KDC1905 system is designed for single staircases, possibly with multiple entrances (e.g. entrance of the lock type
with two doors). This approach integrates the functionality of cassette and PBX in one device, so it is ideal for small
intercom systems. This approach simplifies installation and reduces investment costs .
In order to extend the functionality of this system it is possible to attach “satellite” cassettes, which allow for
voice connection with the premises, use of remote keyboard or to add additional locks. Please note that this solution
does not fully replace the MASTER-SLAVE system in any configuration – it is not possible to talk to many
premises at the same time.

Organization of parameters
KDC1905 system has a number of parameters that enable it to be adapted to the specificity of installation in a given
building. First of all, global parameters are defined – common for all keyboards. These settings are hidden by local
parameters – a set of parameters defining the system operation in case of using a given keyboard. It is possible to set
parameters for specific cassettes in the system – these are local parameters and if they are defined, they cover the
global parameter for a given keyboard. Local parameters should be set only in justified cases (e.g. use of
electromagnetic jumper at one of keyboards, or tuning the acoustic path).
Satellite keyboards are used only as terminals, and all parameters are saved in the keyboard with the PBX
module, and therefore it is necessary to take care of data security and after each data modification (whether settings
or residents’ lists) create a well described backup on the microSD card .
5.2
Organization of logical and physical numbers
The physical number is the number programmed in device. This number is obtained from a logical number as a
result of conversions such as shifts, hotel numbering or “manual” forwarding as defined in subprogram A-2. If none
of the above has been defined, then the logical number is equi valent to the physical number.
The logical number is the number entered from keyboard, which will be further recalculated. It should be
remembered that this number will be treated as a physical number, unless shifts, hotel numbering or direct
forwarding are defined.
By definition, the lock codes defined in A-3, proximity IDs, DALLAS pills and device flags are assigned to
logical numbers. The exception is the code table, which is assigned to physical numbers. This assignment has been
transferred from older CD1803 systems to ensure compatibility when using hotel numbering. Please note that if you
enter the code for a particular logical number in A1 program, the code table for the physical number obtained from
the conversion from this logical number will be ignored .
The software in variant 8 (in KDC1905M systems) introduces a parameter called “Shift from the master”. It is
useful when using common satellites. It enables to move the numbering for one keyboard (e.g. satellite) so that it is
treated (after conversion) as a logical number entered from the local keyboard. It gives the possibility to easily move
the numbering for one keyboard, without the need to change e.g. the range of accepted numbers, which is usually
the same for the whole subsystem.
