SECTION 5 – OPERATION
5.1
Power Source Controls
(A) Amperage / Wire Speed Adjustment Knob
Rotate Knob left or right to highlight the desired function
then
Push
Knob to Select function.
(B) Digital Display
(C) Voltage/Downslope/Arc Force Adjustment Knob
Rotate Knob left or right to adjust:
Arc Voltage
in
MIG SYN
or
MIG MAN
modes.
Downslope
in
LIFT TIG
mode only.
While welding with
2T
Selected – Release the TIG Torch
Trigger Switch to ramp down the welding current to zero
current over the time.
While welding with
4T
Selected – Depress the TIG Torch
Trigger Switch to ramp down the welding current to mini-
mum current over the time set knob (E).
Arc Force (DIG)
in
STICK
mode only.
Varies short-circuit amperage at low arc volts which ena-
bles the user to dig the electrode into the weld pool with-
out the electrode sticking to the workpiece.
NOTE
17
:
In
4T
, if the TIG Torch Trigger Switch is released
during the Downslope period then weld current stops imme-
diately.
(D) POWER Switch
This switch controls the Input Supply Voltage to the Power
Source.
(E) Inductance/Post Flow Gas Adjustment Knob
Rotate Knob left or right to adjust:
Inductance (Arc Control)
in
MIG SYN
or
MIG MAN
modes.
- Adjusts the intensity of the MIG welding arc.
- Lower Inductance settings give a softer arc with less
weld spatter and low weld penetration.
- Higher Inductance settings give a harsh arc with more
spatter and increased weld penetration.
Post Flow Gas
in
LIFT TIG
mode.
Post Flow Gas is the time Gas flows after the arc has extin-
guished to cool the Tungsten Electrode and reduce oxidiza-
tion.
(F) Multi-Function Control Selection Knob
Rotate Knob left or right to highlight the desired function
then
Push
Knob
to
Select Function
