6. Use clamps or other practical ways to support or secure the work
piece to a stable platform. Holding the work piece by hand or against
your body is not stable and may lead to loss of control and injury.
SPECIFIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1. Accessories must be rated for at least the recommended RPM speed
of the tool. See the Specifications section for the no load speed.
2. Keep hands away from cutting area and the blade. Keep your second
hand on the auxiliary handle. If both hands are holding the saw, they
cannot be cut by the blade.
3. Keep your body positioned to either side of the blade, but not
in line with the saw blade. Kickback could cause the saw to
jump backwards.
4. Do not reach underneath the work piece. The blade guard cannot
protect you from the blade below the work piece.
5. Adjust the cutting depth to the thickness of the work piece. Less
than a full tooth of the blade teeth should be visible below the
work piece.
6. Never hold a work piece being cut in your hands or across your legs.
Secure the work piece to a stable platform. It is important to support
the work properly to minimize body exposure, blade binding, or loss
of control.
7. Stay clear of end pieces that may fall after cutting. They may be hot,
sharp and / or heavy. Serious personal injury may result.
8. Do not use cutting oil while cutting.
9. Put the tool safety guard over the tool’s blade when not in use.
10. Always handle the saw blade with care when mounting or removing
it or when removing the diamond knockout.
11. Do not start the tool when the blade is touching the work piece.
12. Hold the power tool by insulated gripping surfaces when performing
an operation where the cutting tool may contact hidden wiring or
its own cord. Contact with a "live" wire will also make exposed metal
parts of the power tool "live" and shock the operator.
13. When ripping, always use a rip fence or straight edge guide.
This improves the accuracy of the cut and reduces the chance of
blade binding.
14. Always use blades with correct size and shape (diamond versus
round) of arbor holes. Blades that do not match the mounting
hardware of the saw will run eccentrically, causing loss of control.
15. Never use damaged or incorrect blade washers or bolt. The blade
washers and bolt were specially designed for your saw, for optimum
performance and safety of operation.
