12. When the replacement interconnect cable emerges from the bottom of the left frame tube,
separate the interconnect cables and discard the defective interconnect cable. Connect the
replacement interconnect cable to the mid-point connector at the lower end of the left frame
tube.
13. Feed the mid-point connector into the left frame tube. Remove the four nuts from the frame
base temporarily installed in step 6. Carefully feed all excess interconnect cable into the
hole in the frame base as you slide the left frame tube onto the frame base mounting bolts
and into the display mounting. Hand start the four nuts onto the left frame tube to frame
base mounting bolts.
14. Replace the lower left hand display mounting bolt. Torque both of the lower display
mounting bolts to 300 inch-pounds (25 foot-pounds).
15. Replace the upper display mounting bolt and securely tighten both upper display mounting
bolts.
16. Torque the four left frame tube to frame base mounting bolts to 300 inch-pounds (25 foot-
pounds).
17. Feed the intermediate interconnect cable through the display backplate and fasten the
display backplate with the four screws removed in step 3.
18. Connect the intermediate interconnect cable to the mid-point connector on the upper
interconnect cable and set the display front panel in its mounting position. Fasten the
display front panel with the four screws removed in step 2.
19. Thoroughly, test the unit per Section 4.
20. Remove the left and right rear cover sections. For serial code SB, remove the two screws
that fasten the lower PCA mounting bracket to the frame. See Diagram 7.3. Rotate the lower
PCA mounting bracket to expose the interconnect cable. Disconnect the interconnect cable
from the lower PCA.
21. Remove the left frame tube as described in steps 6 -9. above.
22. Note the way the lower interconnect cable is looped through the ferrite core. Unsnap the
ferrite core’s housing and remove the ferrite core from the lower interconnect cable.
23. Securely tape one end of the replacement lower interconnect cable to the lower PCA end of
the existing lower interconnect cable. Carefully draw the existing lower interconnect cable
out of the side of the frame base as you carefully feed the replacement cable into the access
hole near the lower PCA.
24. When the replacement interconnect cable emerges from the frame base, separate the
interconnect cables and discard the defective interconnect cable. Mount the ferrite core on
the replacement cable in the manner previously noted. Connect the replacement
interconnect cable to the lower PCA and mid-point connector. Rotate the lower PCA bracket
into it’s mounting position and fasten it with the screws removed in step 20.
