Disconnect the battery
cables and remove the
battery tray. Install the new
battery tray and connect
the battery cables.
Replace the faceplate.
Pull out the battery tray.
Tray may be heavy.
1000-1500 VA Models
2000-3000 VA Models
Remove the face plate.

Testing New Batteries
Press and hold the
button for three seconds to initiate a self-test.
After the test is finished, the red Battery Service indicator should turn
off and the Battery Charge LEDs should show a charge. If the Battery
Service indicator stays on, check the battery connections. See the
troubleshooting guide on page 33 or call your service representative if
the problem persists.
