Gun does not spray
Air hose connection at com-
pressor loose
Tighten and seal hose fittings with Teflon® tape if
leaks are found.
Canister loose
Tighten canister to gun.
Fluid tube, fluid tip or air
caps loose, clogged or
damaged
Clean parts with solvent per instructions in the “user
maintenance” section.
Air pressure too low
Adjust regulated air pressure to 25-50 PSI.
Material is too thick or needs
straining
Thin material according to manufacturer’s instructions
and strain material using a paint strainer or cheese-
cloth.
Fluid control knob closed
Adjust fluid control knob.
Material sags or runs
Canister loose
Thin material according to manufacturer’s instructions.
Movement of gun is too slow
Move at a moderate pace, parallel to surface.
Gun held too close to work
surface
Keep the gun 6 to 9 inches from the work surface.
Spray pattern is
distorted
Fluid tip partly blocked
Clean fluid tip and air cap
Clogged air cap
Clean air cap
Material is too thick or needs
straining
Thin material according to manufacturer’s instructions
and strain material using a paint strainer or cheese-
cloth.
Gun not held at right angle to
paint surface
Hold gun parallel to the paint surface.
Fluid control too heavy
Adjust fluid control knob.
Spray pattern flutters
Paint cup or fluid tube loose
Tighten paint cup or fluid tube.
Packing dry, worn or loose
Lubricate and or tighten
Material is too thick or needs
straining
Thin material according to manufacturer’s instructions
and strain material using a paint strainer or cheese-
cloth.
Paint cup is empty
Fill paint cup.
Spray pattern is split
Fluid control too lean
Adjust fluid control knob.
Air pressure too high
Adjust regulated air pressure to 25-50 PSI.
