Appendix A. Research on Balance Adjustment Method about “H” Bridge
Wire Capacitor Group
To study the "H" bridge wire capacitor group imbalance adjustment method, first, it needs to study
the parameters which can reflect the imbalance status and the measurement method. A typical
schematic wiring double-tuned filter is showing in the Figure A-1. In the figure, C1 is the main
capacitor and it bears most of the power frequency voltage in operation. In order to obtain high
sensitivity performance of the internal fault protection, the C1 in converter station AC filter is
connected in "H" bridge, and configured with the high sensitivity unbalance current relays.

To find the parameters reflecting the imbalance status of "H" bridge wire capacitor group, we
researched the AC Filter Converter Station in Deyang city. The "H" bridge wire capacitor group
connection is shown in Figure A-2.
