1)  Disconnect the filter with busbar firstly and connect it as showing in Figure 4-11. Connect

the grounding terminal with the ground cable.

2)  Connect the PC and kit via cable.

3)  Turn on kit’s power supply, the power indicator will light and the fan works.

4)  Run PF3000 software.

5)  Select “Resistance and phase-frequency characteristic” in “Test type” menu.

6)  Inject the max. test voltage value in “Max. output voltage” according to site test.

Generally, 20V is ok (max. voltage is 60V) in order to decrease power loss.

7)  Set “No. of frequency” in “Frequency setting”. Generally, it is suggested measuring the

general harmonic vibration frequency, then set the smaller frequency step near the

harmonic vibration point and set the bigger frequency step far away from the point. The

test time for resistance/phase-frequency characteristic is about 1s by computer, while the

test time by offline is about 2s.

8)  Inject the start frequency of each frequency section in “Start frequency”.

9)  Inject the termination frequency of each section in “Termination frequency”.

10)  Inject the step in “Frequency step”. The min. step is 0.1Hz.

11)  Press “Run”, the kit starts to test tuning characteristic automatically.

12)  Check the test results if it is satisfied.
