Front and Rear Brakes
The brake fluid in the master
cylinder, which is located on the
left handlebar, should be checked
before each ride. The fluid level
can be seen through an indicator
window (1) on the top of the
master cylinder. This “eye” will
appear dark when the fluid level is
full. When fluid needs to be
added, the eye will be clear.
NOTE:
When checking the fluid
level, the ATV must be on level
ground the the handlebars straight.
If the fluid level is low add DOT 3
(PN 2870990) only.
The Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) stops the engine in the
event of a throttle system malfunction and is provided for your
safety. Do not attempt to modify the ETC system or replace it
with any after market throttle mechanisms.
WARNING
1
Once a bottle of brake fluid is opened, use what is necessary and
discard the rest. Do not store or use a partial bottle of brake fluid.
Brake fluid is hygroscopic, meaning it rapidly absorbs moisture
from the air. This causes the boiling temperature of the brake fluid
to drop, which can lead to early brake fade and the possibility of
severe injury.
