Gateway Software Updates
The L Gateway will periodically check L servers for new software versions. If an updated version is
identified, the L Gateway will automatically download and install the latest version. This process will not affect
programmed settings.
In addition to automatically maintaining current gateway software versions, the L Gateway also coordinates soft-
ware updates for all devices in the network that support over-the-air software updates. If an updated version is identified for any
device, the L Gateway will automatically download the new software, send the software (over-the-air) to the device,
and confirm that the device has successfully updated its software.
The software update process is automatic but requires a continuous Internet connection.
Time/Day Updates
The L Gateway will capture and store the time zone from the mobile device used in the commissioning process.
To maintain accuracy, the L Gateway will check L servers daily to calibrate the time and day for the
building location. This calibration ensures accurate scheduling (based on day of week and time of day) and will accommodate
changes for daylight saving time.
The time/day update process is automatic but requires a continuous Internet connection.
