9.1 First exposure - jaw closed
Select the correct exposure values for the patient
being X-rayed according to the values in the following
table.
Note that there are two sets of kV values. One set for
the closed jaw and a second set for the open jaw. If
you are using a different film screen combination you
may have to adjust the exposure values.
Press the Return key to move the rotating assembly to
the ready position and the cassette carriage to the
loading position if they are not already in that position.
Press the temple support key to open the temple sup-
ports if they are not already open.
Guide the patient towards the unit so that they are fac-
ing the chin support. Explain to the patient that you will
take a double exposure and that the unit will rotate
twice.
