Operating an hoist trolley unit
Manual push and manual geared trolleys are intended to be operated by hand.
Manual push trolleys are not equipped with a drive mechanism and shall be pushed by hand.
Manual geared trolleys are driven by a hand chain. Pulling the left hand chain part down causes the
trolley to drive forwards as shown in detail A of the illustration below. Pulling the other chain part
down will result in driving the trolley backward.
Hoists shall always be operated by hand. Any other drive mechanism is not allowed. Pulling the
right hand chain part down causes the hoist to lift the hook as shown in detail B of the illustration
below. Pulling the other chain part down will result in lowering the hook.
The above explanation applies to standard headroom, low headroom and ultra low headroom hoist
trolley units.
Caution!
Only pull the chain on the straight ends. Getting your hands in the bottom of
the loop while pulling fast or firmly may hurt.
