ISP Data required
PPPoE xDSL
If you connect to the Internet using an
xDSL Modem and your ISP has provided
you Username/Password and a Service
Name, then your ISP uses PPPoE to estab-
lish a connection. You must choose this op-
tion and enter the required information.
User name and

depends on ISP
demands.)
PPTP xDSL
If you connect to the Internet using an
xDSL Modem and your ISP has provided
you with a Password, Local IP Address,
Remote IP Address and a Connection ID,
then your ISP uses PPTP to establish a con-
nection. You must choose this option and
enter the required information.

3. Please determine proper connection type for your Internet access, and inserting all
necessary parameters obtained from your service provider, on the final screen of the
Wizard, click OK button to finish the Internet access configuration. At this moment,
your router will try to use the data provided to establish the Internet connection.
• If the connection fails, please verify if all the parameters are correct, and the physical
connections between your computer and the Cable/DSL modem.
• If your ISP has recorded your MAC (hardware) address, please go back to Wizard and
select Clone MAC Address on the Cable modem menu. Change the MAC address to
match the value expected by your ISP.
