Data logger software
Login name This will appear alongside signatures. It is
stored in the data logger for the current
session.
First name and surname The first name and surname are combined
to create the user's signature. More than
one person can have the same first name
and surname. In the Audit tables users with
the same first name and surname can be
distinguished by their USER_GUID.
User rights: Administrator User can access all software and data
logger functions.
User rights: Initialise logger User can start a data logger. If they do not
have stop permission, then the user will not
be able to start a data logger that is already
logging.
User rights: Allow stop/download
restrictions User can restrict how a data logger is
stopped; either to themselves or to the PC
from which it was started. An administrator
on any software installation can override
this.
User rights: Stop & download logger User can stop the data logger and
download data. This may not be possible if
the data logger also has restrictions on
stopping,
User rights: Add/edit commands to data User can add comments to individual data
entries via the graph.
User rights: Export data User can export data from the graph.
User rights: Approve/un-approve data User can add or remove the signature to
the logging session from the graph.
User rights: View/export software audit User can view and export the Software
audit trail showing all transactions.

3.3.5.5.1 Editing users
Only users who have been configured as Administrators can create or edit users.
1. Select
Admin > Edit User
.
2. The fields are the same as those in Creating users . The only differences are as
follows:
a. The user to be edited can be selected from the
Login name
list.
b. The
Account enabled
field can be unchecked to disable the account.
c. The
Reset password at next login
field can be used to force the user to
change his or her password at the next login.
