5. Instructions for proper use
NOTICE!
Always observe the textile labels.
5.1 Instructions for the washing of textiles
5.1.1 Detergent
Choose your detergent relevant to the laundry you wish to wash (cotton, wool,
synthetic etc.), the temperature and the level of contamination; otherwise, a strong
formation of bubbles may occur. Always observe the dosage instructions on the
packaging of the detergent. Bleachers are alkaline and may damage your clothing.
Use as less detergent as necessary. Powdery detergents may remain in your clothing,
so rinse them thoroughly. If you use too much detergent or if the water-temperature
is too low, the detergent will not dissolve completely; so residuals of the detergent
may remain in the clothing, the hoses and the appliance itself. Customise the washing
procedures relevant to the grade of contamination of the laundry, your local water
hardness and the information given on the packaging of your detergent. For
information about the water hardness, ask your local water supplier. Store your
detergents in a safe and dry place
out of the reach of children.
5.1.2 Use of the dispenser
Observe the dosage instructions on the packaging of the detergent. The proper
dosage depends on:
➢
type and degree of soiling.
➢
quantity of the laundry.
Half load: 3/4 of the detergent used for full load.
Minimum load (approx. 1 kg): 1/2 of the detergent used for full load.
➢
Your water supplier will inform you about the water hardness of your water. Soft
water requires less detergent than hard water.
➢
If you use too much detergent, a strong formation of foam may occur which can
reduce the efficiency of the appliance. If the appliance detects too much foam, it
may prevent spinning.
➢
Using an insufficient quantity of detergent can cause calcification of the heating
system, the drum and the hoses.
