Installation, use and maintenance
8 INSTALLATION
Due to limited weight and dimensions the use of special handling or lifting equipment is not re-
quired. When handling manually, usual personal protective devices should be worn. Upon receiv-
ing, pump package should be checked for damages and then stored in a dry area.
Always use pump only and exclusively for application allowed by this manual and in accordance
with normative safety standard.
Verify that no damage effect the pump during transportation or storage. Both inlet and outlet
ports should be then carefully cleaned removing dust or packaging materials..
Verify that available electrical power supply corresponds to the pump specification requirements.
Pump can be mounted in any position. Fix the pump using suitable screws corresponding to anti-
vibration mounts.
WARNING!
PUMP MOTOR IS NOT EXPLOSION PROOF.
Do not install the pump where flammable vapours or gases may be present. Install the
pump in a place accessible for inspection. Pump is IP65 protection rated.
9 HOSES CONNECTION
1 Before making any hose connections check that inlet ports have no caps.
do not position pump higher than 1.30mtr from minimum level of the fluid.
2 Pump damages may occur whether this height is exceeded as the pump do not draw fluid.
3 make sure the outlet hose is empty and without chokes. Inlet or outlet chokes can reduce pump
efficiency.
3 the use of an inlet filter is mandatory especially with fluid containing impurities.
4 Use only hose and connections resistant to fluids handled and avoid any possible environmental
dispersion.
10 START UP
electrical installation of the pump must include a protection fuse suitably rated as requested on
motor label and sized with chosen point of application.
WARRANTY EXPIRES IF NO FUSE IS USED.

NB. The fuse protects the pump from short-circuit.
Pump has no by-pass inside and maximum pressure can not in any way be overcome

Antivibration rubbers have always to be mounted on pump to reduce noise and vibration.
Cables size depends on the distance between pump and battery. The use of undersized cabling
can cause overheating of the electrical wiring and therefore fire danger in anyway there will be a
voltage drop and a reduction in efficiency.
